Demolition of a 400ft Reinforced Concrete Chimney

We were responsible for the controlled demolition of a 400 foot tall reinforced concrete chimney at SCE&G’s Williams Station, SC. In addition to removing the outer concrete shell there were many other factors to consider including removal of the internal steel liner, lead and asbestos abatement, and removal of the elevator and electrical components, and other associated pieces of equipment.
